Professional background


A psychologist, she worked for years as a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist in an outpatient institute in Mecklenburg-Vorpommeria, in the Northeast of Germany. From 1992 to 2000 she had her own psychotherapeutic practice there before joining an outpatient practice in Leipzig where she has worked ever since. She is a qualified psychodynamic psychotherapist for adults and children and also a lecturer in this field.
She has done further training in analytical psychotherapy, hypnotherapy and psychotraumatology. She is also a certified EMDR therapist (EMDRIA) and a certified psychotraumatologist (DeGPT) following the Huber ( Kassel ) treatment concept for dissociative identity disorders.
Since 2000 she has helped develop the somatic-psychological-interactional model for treating complex traumatised and other disorders (SPIM-20-KT as trauma and body oriented individual and group therapy concept comprising creative games and usage of ensoulable therapeutic objects). She is a director of the Academy for Integrative Psychotherapy and the Trauma Institute Leipzig.
